DAY 1 - Lahinch Golf Club

Lahinch Golf Club

It has been described as ‘The St Andrews of Ireland’ and many other complimentary titles. Those who know and love the place firmly believe that Lahinch Golf Club doesn’t need comparison with any of the game’s other world class venues.

From the infant days back in 1892 up to its 125th anniversary, the Club has stood out on its own merits as a golfing institution like none other.

Lahinch Golf Club is renowned for the way the links has retained all of its old virtues. It has benefited from the willingness, over the decades, to move with the times and is now regarded as one of the best and most enjoyable challenges to be found anywhere in the golfing world. The legendary Old Tom Morris set the highest standards for the course from the outset. He was followed by equally celebrated architects Charles ‘Mo’ Gibson and Dr Alister MacKenzie. In more recent times, the expertise of Dr Martin Hawtree ensures its place in the higher echelons of all golf rankings.

Lahinch is a remarkable club whose growth, vibrancy and spirit are charted in the pages of its centenary publication – 125 Years of Golf at Lahinch.

DAY 2 - Adare Manor Golf Club

Adare Manor Golf Club

Masterfully designed, magnificently maintained, and perfectly set within the glorious estate of one of Europe’s most spectacular manor house hotels, The Golf Course at Adare Manor is ready to take its place among the best championship courses anywhere.

Celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio has taken what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations. The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue.

Adare has two loops of 9. The first loop features 14 acres of natural lakes and streams and Jones’ ever present bunkering. The first and second are excellent par-4’s that are also protected by trees. The par-3 third is a beguiling hole, almost completely surrounded by sand and with the River Maigue sufficiently close to the back of the green as to pose a threat, especially as the perception makes club selection a challenge.

Adare is an excellent parkland golf course, superbly designed and recent investment has ensured that it will always be in superb condition.

DAY 3 - Ballybunion Golf Club

Ballybunion Golf Club

Ballybunion Golf Club, Co. Kerry, Ireland, is a Private Members Golf Club founded in 1893. Home to two wonderfully unique and challenging links courses – The Old Course and The Cashen Course, visitors from around the world have been visiting the Club for many decades.
